At Alisha Taylor Interiors, every project begins with a deep respect for the vision that came before us. #PinnaclePeakEstate was architecturally designed by Clint Miller, built with precision by Modern Splendor Custom Homes, and brought to life inside by our team, including Marti Pearce, our Technical Designer, who helped ensure every detail aligned with the architectural intent.
From the start, this home was about honoring Miller’s design. His architecture celebrated sleek horizontal lines, natural materials, and a strong connection to the desert landscape. Our role was not to compete with that vision, but to support it. As we selected interior materials and finishes, we constantly considered the exterior, bringing the outside in so the home would feel cohesive and intentional from every angle.
Embracing the Desert Through Textures
The visual story of this home is rooted in the desert itself. The color palette reflects sand, stone, and sky, creating a space that feels calm and grounded. The goal was never high drama. As Alisha shares,
“We didn’t want to shock the system or provide high drama. We wanted the design to flow and be more subtle with its environment.”
This home feels like it can take a deep breath. It’s a serene, soft, and welcoming retreat.

The Art of Soft Contemporary Design
Soft contemporary design is surprisingly difficult to execute. It requires balance. Too modern can feel cold; too traditional can feel heavy. With the craftsmanship & attention to detail from Modern Splendor Custom Homes, the architecture and interiors came together seamlessly. Their quality made it possible to achieve a refined, subtle look that feels warm instead of stark.
Lighting became one of the most important artistic elements in the home. We treated decorative fixtures like jewelry — sculptural pieces that add personality & shape without overwhelming the space. Each one was chosen to enhance the clean lines while adding softness and interest.

Two Homes, Two Personalities
Designing this property was especially meaningful because it wasn’t just created for a husband and wife, but also a mother-daughter duo. The main house reflects a soft contemporary aesthetic with clean lines and natural finishes. The casita, which the mother will be living in full-time, carries a slightly more traditional glam touch. Though distinct in personality, both spaces needed to speak to one another because they share the same architectural foundation.
By truly listening to each client, we tailored the design to reflect their individual styles while maintaining cohesiveness across the property.

A Thoughtful Collaboration
Our #PinnaclePeakEstate new build project is a beautiful example of collaboration done right. With Clint Miller’s architectural vision, Modern Splendor’s craftsmanship, Marti Pearce’s technical precision, and our team’s interior storytelling, the result is a home that feels timeless and connected to its desert surroundings.
It doesn’t shout for attention.
It simply belongs.
