The Somerset Community in Gilbert, Arizona is the location for another Alisha Taylor new luxury build project set to impress with its modern European design. Our #EuropeanHeights project draws inspiration from a mix of classic and contemporary elements to create a stunning masterpiece.
THE DESIGN DIRECTION
The project’s exterior features clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic, with a mix of traditional and contemporary materials. The exterior design has pockets of stunning natural limestone for that classic touch, and a sleek dark charcoal roofing some sophistication, while the large windows offer breathtaking natural light inside.
The interior of the building is designed to be equally impressive, with luxurious finishes. The entry steel & glass door will be grand and inviting, with light wood flooring, high ceilings, and a magnificent 7-tier crystal chandelier that immediately draws the eye. The spacious, neutral kitchen features custom cabinetry for ample storage and a quartz backsplash & waterfall island for the drama!
One of the standout features of this luxury new build project is the enchanting Common Room on the second floor. We transformed this space into an old-world-inspired chamber, pulling from the mix of classic and fantasy elements, with the aim of creating a unique and memorable experience for the family. The brick fireplace creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, while the deep navy cabinetry adds a touch of elegance and sophistication. The double groin vault ceiling detail is a stunning architectural feature that adds depth and character to the space, while the rich chocolate wood flooring adds warmth and texture.
Overall, this luxury new build project with modern European design is an actual work of art. Every element has been carefully considered and crafted to create a truly exceptional living experience! Keep tabs on the progress of our #EuropeanHeights project on our social media.
PROJECT REVEAL: Camelback Remodel
The Camelback Mountain Views Is The Best Compliment to This Stunning Full Remodel
Meet our #CamelbackRemodel clients – a delightful couple who love entertaining guests. Having lived in their home for some time, they realized that they needed a full remodel to cater to their new lifestyle as a married couple. The original floor plan had many unusual angles and lacked an open-concept living area, so they decided to customize the design to fit their needs and elevate it to a modern style.
Combining Styles for a Complete Design
At our design firm, we specialize in creating personal styles and designing with intention. The couple had different ideas for their home – he loved high contrast black and white, while she preferred modern farmhouse style. We combined both their tastes to create a design that features contrasting countertops and painted cabinetry colors, limestone, and natural wood combinations, and ribbed cabinetry to capture the farmhouse feel. The design also includes brushed brass accents and matte black light fixtures to represent the high contrast effect.
Intentional Design Concept
The couple’s top priority was to have an open-concept space for entertaining. We designed a unique ‘Roaring 20s’ inspired bar in the main living space that opens up to the outdoor patio, providing a fantastic view of Camelback Mountain. This elegant and classy space will serve as the perfect backdrop for their future dinner parties.
This renovation project was all about making the home more personal and customized to our client’s needs. The final design is a beautiful blend of high contrast and modern farmhouse style that perfectly suits the couple’s love for entertaining guests.
Building a luxury home is an exciting and rewarding experience, but it can also be overwhelming and challenging. There are many things to consider when embarking on such a project, and it is important to be prepared and knowledgeable about the process.
Here are some key things to keep in mind when building a luxury home:
Speak up when you don’t understand and enjoy the learning element of the entire process.
Building a luxury home is a complex process that requires a lot of knowledge and expertise. It is important to be open to learning and willing to ask questions when you don’t understand something. Your team will likely challenge you and push you to make difficult decisions, but this is all part of the process of creating a truly exceptional home.
Trust your team.
While it is important to be involved in the process and to communicate your needs and preferences, it is also important to trust your team and allow them to do their job. Micromanaging can lead to unnecessary stress and can hinder the progress of the project. If you trust your team to make the best decisions for you and let them do their job, the better the project will look, the further your budget will go, and the happier and less stressed you will be.
Be transparent about your budget from the beginning with everyone.
One of the most important things to consider when building a luxury home is the budget. It is important to be transparent about your budget from the beginning and to communicate it clearly with everyone involved in the project. This will help to ensure that everyone is on the same page and that the project stays on track financially.
It’s a journey… it takes a long time, but it is so worth it in the end.
Building a luxury home is a long process that requires patience and perseverance. It is important to remember that it is a journey and to enjoy the process along the way. While there may be challenges and setbacks, the end result will be well worth the effort.
Be honest and prepared to commit.
Building a luxury home requires a lot of preparation and planning. It is important to be fully committed to each step of the process and to be prepared for each meeting and decision. Make sure you do your homework and come prepared with questions and ideas.
Collect inspiration & know your priorities.
Before you begin the process of building a luxury home, it is important to have a clear idea of what you want and need in a home. Collect inspiration and keep a notepad to jot down ideas and preferences. This will help you to communicate your needs and preferences clearly to your team. It is also important to know your priorities and to list them in order of importance. This will help you to make decisions and allocate resources in a way that reflects your values and preferences.
Building a luxury home is a complex and challenging process, but it can also be an incredibly rewarding experience. By being prepared, transparent, and open to learning, you can ensure that your project stays on track and meets your expectations. Remember to trust your team and to communicate your needs and priorities clearly.
While there may be setbacks and challenges along the way, the end result will be a truly exceptional home that reflects your vision and values. So, take your time, enjoy the journey, and savor the rewards of building your dream home!
High Point 2023 Market: Our Design Takeaways
WHAT IS ‘MARKET’?
High Point Market is a furniture design show exclusively for interior designers, architects, and furniture store owners, where all the new styles and products are introduced. Located in High Point, NC, the show draws around 150,000 professionals each year. The city of High Point houses skyscraper buildings and an entire transit system open just two weeks a year for the market. There are over 2,000 showrooms in 180 buildings, with 12 million square feet to explore and gain inspiration from. The first market was in 1909, targeted to the South, and today, designers and architects from over 100 countries attend!
As a company, we eagerly anticipate our yearly visit to the High Point Market, and it’s not just us – so do all the ‘design greats.’ It’s a thrill to stroll through the vendor showrooms and bump into the likes of Joanna Gaines or Barry Dixon, casually admiring the same furniture pieces as we are.
WHAT NEW STYLES WERE SHOWN AT MARKET?
This year at the market, there were some continuous themes that we saw, and rest assured, they will make their way into designs over the next few years.
Texture continues to be incorporated into everything from unique lighting details to fabrics, to added details showcasing a unique texture on wood furniture. Deep rich bold colors were everywhere at the market. Think beautiful red wine burgundy, a punchy rich deep blue, silk olive green, and a spiced nutmeg color.
But what those rich bold colors are partnered with in a design brought the most fun new inspiration and was showcased across the market. A red wine Burgundy partnered with its lighter counterpart, a soft mauve. A deep blue with a light lavender or a chocolate brown partnered with a sage green…. It was the balance of rich and bold with soft and calm. Beautiful!
Be sure to check out our social media for some further insight into what we saw at Market!
WHAT WE ENJOYED THE MOST AS A TEAM?
Our Business & Logistics Director, Emma Mauvais & Junior Designer, Yliana Kolosseus, experienced High Point Market for the first time this year! When asked her favorite part of Market, Yliana responded with, “My favorite part of attending the High Point Market was the opportunity, as a designer, to see and experience firsthand the quality of products we are considering for our clients’ homes. By touching and feeling the materials, examining the craftsmanship and details, and seeing the products in person, I am able to better assess their suitability for specific projects and ensure that they meet our clients’ expectations.
In addition to this, the chance to network with other professionals in the industry, attend educational seminars and events, and gain inspiration from the latest design trends and styles was definitely a highlight.”
As a team, we got the opportunity to tour Thayer Coggin’s manufacturing plant and showroom. Thayer Coggin is one of our vendors, and we’ve used their bespoke pieces in very select projects over the past 10 years. They are the very definition of timeless modern design, and their furniture craftsmen are some of the best in the world. Each piece is bench-made and meticulously fussed over and built with the highest quality of materials. They study and take cues from techniques seen in shipbuilding. They also partnered with NASA for their seat support strap system because nothing else was up to Thayer’s standard. To have our entire team see ‘behind the curtain’ of luxury furniture manufacturing and get to talk with the distinguished craftsmen was truly an honor and a highlight!
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT TO SEE IN OUR DESIGNS INSPIRED BY MARKET?
The word ‘trend’ was hardly uttered at Market. The focus was on statement, durable, well-crafted pieces, so we plan on continuing to focus on timeless design. As we look to being earth-friendly, we will continue to incorporate furniture pieces into our designs that don’t need to be replaced in a few short years or end up in a landfill. Instead, they are loved, used, and adored for years, and hopefully for generations.
Keeping timeless design as the priority, additionally “our goal is to push creative boundaries with each project, delivering innovative and unique solutions that surpass our clients’ expectations,” expresses Yliana [Junior Designer].
Rich beautiful fabrics will be more of a focus as we move into our furniture designs of 2023 and 2024. Introducing a more diverse color scheme balancing subtle and bold in the same space will be an exciting touch we want to bring into our future designs.
The lighting industry really outdid itself this market and showcased gorgeous uniquely designed fixtures. With production technology increasing and companies hiring designers on staff, even the ‘cost-friendly’ lighting suppliers are introducing many new collections that are nothing short of stunning sculptural art for your home. You will see lots of gorgeous lighting fixtures in our designs from new builds to additions of lighting into our furniture/furnishings projects!
In conclusion, High Point Market remains a prominent event for the design industry, bringing together professionals from all over the world to explore the latest styles and products. This year’s market showcased the continued trend of incorporating texture, deep rich bold colors, and the balance of rich and bold with soft and calm. We’re excited to show off our findings from this year’s Market and implement them in our project’s designs!
The Perfect Solution to Elevating Your Luxury Custom Home
When it comes to luxury custom homes, every detail matters. From the flooring to the lighting, every aspect of your home should be carefully considered to create the perfect ambiance. One often overlooked aspect is wallpaper. Wallpaper can be the perfect solution to elevating your luxury custom home and creating a unique and personalized space that reflects your style and personality.
Why Wallpaper?
Wallpaper has come a long way since the outdated and tacky designs of the past. Today’s wallpaper options range from classic patterns to modern designs, and everything in between. With so many options available, it’s easy to find a wallpaper that will perfectly complement your home’s design and décor.
One of our firm’s go-to brands for wallpaper is Schumacher. With over 130 years of experience, Schumacher is “committed to design that transcends time and rises above the ordinary, and they are unwaveringly devoted to beauty and quality.” Their collections feature a wide range of styles, from bold and graphic prints to more subtle and understated designs, and they offer a variety of materials and textures that we love to incorporate into our luxury home designs.
Wallpaper can also be used to create a focal point in a room or to add texture and dimension to a space. Whether you’re looking for a bold and dramatic statement or a subtle and elegant touch, wallpaper can help you achieve that desired look.
Wallpaper can also be used to cover imperfections in walls or to add interest to a room that might otherwise feel plain or boring. For example, a wallpaper with a textured finish can add depth to a room and make it feel more inviting.
Selecting the Perfect Wallpaper
While wallpaper can be a great addition to your luxury custom home, selecting the perfect wallpaper can be a daunting task. With so many options available, it’s easy to become overwhelmed.
This is where hiring an interior designer can be incredibly helpful. An interior designer can work with you to select the perfect wallpaper for your project. They can help you identify your style and preferences and then recommend wallpaper options that will complement your home’s design and décor.
An interior designer can also provide guidance on how to use wallpaper effectively in your space. For example, they can recommend which walls to wallpaper, what patterns to choose, and how to mix and match different wallpaper designs.
Working with an interior designer can save you time and money in the long run, as they can help you avoid costly mistakes and ensure that your wallpaper selection complements the rest of your home’s design and décor.
Incorporating Wallpaper into Your Luxury Custom Home: Tips from an Interior Designer
As an interior designer, I know firsthand how much of an impact wallpaper can have on a luxury custom home. It can add texture, depth, and personality to a space, and can be used in a variety of ways to achieve different effects. Here are some tips for incorporating wallpaper into your luxury custom home:
Consider the space:When selecting wallpaper, it’s important to consider the space it will be used in. For example, a bold and graphic wallpaper might work well in a living room or dining room but might be overwhelming in a bedroom. A more subtle and understated wallpaper, on the other hand, might be perfect for a bedroom or study.
Think about the overall design scheme:Wallpaper should complement the rest of your home’s design and décor. Consider the colors, patterns, and textures that are already present in the space, and choose a wallpaper that will enhance and complement those elements.
Use wallpaper strategically:Wallpaper can be used in a variety of ways to achieve different effects. For example, a wallpaper with a bold pattern or texture can be used to create a focal point in a room. Alternatively, a more subtle wallpaper can be used to add texture and depth to a space.
Mix and match:Don’t be afraid to mix and match different wallpaper designs in your home. For example, you could use a bold and graphic wallpaper in one room and a more subtle and understated wallpaper in another. Just be sure to consider how the different wallpaper designs will work together in the overall design scheme of your home.
Pay attention to the details:Wallpaper can be used in unexpected ways to add interest to other areas of your home, such as the ceiling or the inside of a bookcase. Don’t be afraid to get creative and use wallpaper in unique ways to add personality and interest to your space.
Consider the installation process:Wallpaper installation can be tricky, especially when working with a custom home. It’s important to work with an experienced wallpaper installer to ensure that the job is done right and that the wallpaper looks its best.
By keeping these tips in mind, you can effectively incorporate wallpaper into your luxury custom home and create a space that is truly unique and personalized. As an interior designer, I’m always excited to help my clients select the perfect wallpaper for their project and to see the transformation that it can bring to a space.
The Roles of Interior Designers in the Construction Phase
In the world of luxury new build projects, the roles of interior designers during the construction phase are crucial! An interior designer can add value to the project by creating a cohesive and functional design plan that enhances the beauty and comfort of the space. In this post, we will discuss the importance and the roles of interior designers during the construction phase of a luxury new build project.
Functional Design & Aesthetics
One of the primary roles of interior designers during the construction phase is to create a functional design plan. This means that we work with the architect and builder to ensure that the space is designed with your lifestyle, preferences, and desires in mind. We consider things like traffic flow, lighting, and acoustics to ensure that the space is both beautiful and functional. Another important role of an interior designer during the construction phase is to create a cohesive aesthetic for the space. We work to select finishes, fixtures, and furnishings that complement each other and create a seamless design. As interior designers, we also consider the architectural style of the home and create a design plan that is consistent with that style.
Budget Management
Hiring an interior designer during the construction phase can also help with budget management. Working work with the builder, we select finishes and furnishings that are both beautiful and within your budget. We also help to prioritize spending, ensuring that the most important elements of the design are given priority.
Project Management
An interior designer can also serve as a project manager during the construction phase. Along with the builder, we ensure that the design plan is being executed properly and that any issues that arise are addressed in a timely manner to avoid any costly mistakes or changes.
Increased Resale Value
Finally, hiring an interior designer during the construction phase can increase the resale value of the home. A well-designed space that is both functional and beautiful will be more appealing to potential buyers. This means that the home will likely sell for a higher price than a similar home that was not professionally designed.
In conclusion, hiring an interior designer during the construction phase of a luxury new build project is essential! We strive to enhance our clients’ lives by not only creating beautiful interiors for them but by keeping the design process understandable and efficient through a systematic method that allows them to visualize and be excited about their designs. If you are embarking on a luxury new build project, consider hiring Alisha Taylor Interiors to ensure that your space is both beautiful and functional!

“If you’re only looking at a finished rug, it’s easy to forget how much craftsmanship is involved,”
— Amir Loloi, Owner and Head Designer of Loloi Rugs.
Investing in high-quality area rugs for your luxury custom home can be a wise decision for several reasons. First, premium area rugs can add a touch of luxury and elegance to any room, instantly transforming the look and feel of your space. They can also help to tie all of your furniture and decor together, creating a cohesive and well-designed look.
In addition to their aesthetic benefits, high-quality area rugs can also be incredibly durable and long-lasting. Unlike cheaper, mass-produced rugs, high-end rugs are often handcrafted using traditional techniques and materials, making them more resistant to wear and tear.
Loloi Rugs, an industry leader in rug design innovation, prides itself on intent with each design because they strive to, “create new, intricate textures that are made to last. And even often illustrate [their] own patterns. Resulting in beautifully-designed rugs that will look great now—and decades from now.”
Investing in a high-quality area rug can actually be a smart financial decision in the long run. Because these rugs are so durable and well-made, they can last for years or even decades with proper care. This means you won’t have to replace them as often as you would a cheaper, lower-quality rug. While investing in an expensive area rug may require a larger upfront investment, the benefits in terms of style, durability, and long-term value can make it well worth the expense.
Why Are Area Rugs Expensive?
High-quality area rugs can be expensive due to a variety of factors. Firstly, the materials used to make the rug can significantly impact the price. For example, hand-knotted rugs made from high-quality wool or silk can be more expensive than machine-made rugs made from synthetic materials. Additionally, the rug size can also affect the price, with larger rugs typically costing more.
Another factor that contributes to the cost of area rugs is the amount of time and skill required to create them. Handmade rugs can take months or even years to complete, with skilled artisans carefully crafting every detail by hand. This level of craftsmanship and attention to detail can drive up the price of the rug.
According to Surya Rugs, a top provider of luxury, high-quality rugs in the interior design industry, “the skill, passion, and diligence required to make rugs and textiles by hand is unparalleled. We [Surya Rugs] strive to honor and preserve the centuries-old traditions and techniques, keeping history alive by continually investing in the well-being and professional growth of 50,000+ artisans.”
Finally, the design and style of the rug can also impact the cost. Unique or intricate patterns, as well as rare or exotic materials, can increase the value of the rug. Overall, the cost of an area rug reflects the quality of materials, craftsmanship, and design, making it a worthwhile investment for any home!
Luxury and indulgence can be felt in your everyday life, including in your own home. We will work closely with you in the beginning phases of the design process, and then you can turn it over to us to make your dream home come to life!

The Importance of Energy Efficiency in Luxury Homes
A luxury home can be lovely to look at and live in, but maintaining and running it can come at a high cost. Bigger houses mean more energy consumption, leading to higher bills and a higher impact on the environment. As of 2020, Luxury Dream Homes estimates that luxury home maintenance can cost up to $70,000 a month. Meanwhile, the superrich’s properties have been estimated to emit thousands of tons of carbon emissions yearly, in comparison to the average of about five tons per household.
To avoid these increases, luxury homeowners need to pay more attention to how much energy their homes use, from essential aspects like heating and appliances to other factors such as swimming pools or electric vehicles. There are many ways to cut down on energy at home in smart and efficient ways, reducing the amount on your bills and sparing the environment from even more damage. Here’s why energy efficiency is crucial for luxury homes and some tips to get you started:
Why energy efficiency is important
Energy efficiency may sound like a challenging idea at first. To many, it entails sacrificing some luxuries or buying all sorts of equipment that can be a hassle to install and maintain. However, the benefits of energy efficiency are worth the extra work. Less energy means paying less for the amount you consume, and as all luxury homeowners know, those prices are higher than the average home.
The perks of energy efficiency also extend beyond your home and into your surroundings. Conserving energy reduces greenhouse gas emissions, which larger homes contribute a lot too. Using renewable energy sources decreases your dependence on fossil fuels as well.
Conserving energy doesn’t have to be difficult; there are many simple ways to adjust your energy use at home. Below are a few ways you can make your luxury home more energy efficient:
How luxury homes can be more energy efficient
Use energy-efficient cooling systems
Cooling is one of the most critical aspects of a luxury home, but they consume a lot of electricity, which is why it’s a crucial area to tackle when attempting to conserve energy.
One of the best ways to minimize electricity consumption is to use energy-efficient cooling systems. This technology ensures that your home isn’t using up more energy than needed while keeping your home at an optimal temperature. An air conditioner like the Mitsubishi SRK13YL can run on auto or timer while using 50% less energy. You don’t need to compromise your air quality to enjoy less energy consumption.
Switch to smart devices
Homes have become increasingly integrated with technology. Many of your home’s usual appliances and fixtures can be switched to smart versions, helping you save energy and making maintaining your house a breeze.
You can switch out your incandescent bulbs for smart LED bulbs, providing more flexibility with lighting your home while conserving energy. These smart bulbs can be motion controlled and turned off automatically when a room is empty or remotely controlled from anywhere inside or outside the house. Lights are also vital for improving your home’s aesthetic. Pair smart lights with dimming and color-changing features with your gorgeous light fixtures when decorating your luxury living room, and you’ll see a big difference in the space’s mood.
Consider renewable energy
Fossil fuels are incredibly detrimental to the environment; the less we depend on them, the better. Using natural energy like the sun and wind can reduce the impact of fossil fuels and greenhouse gases, minimizing damage to the earth. Solar panels have become more widespread and are a more sustainable way to power your home. Depending on your location, windmills are a good option to consider. The benefit of using renewable energy is that these resources will not run out, so you can depend on them more comfortably. Additionally, these can increase your property value in the long run.
Making your luxury home more energy efficient has many benefits for homeowners and the earth. Doing your part can make a massive environmental difference, reducing further damage. For more ideas on living and style, please see the rest of the blog here.
We were honored to have Brady Fenn & Adam Kostis join us for the evening. Brady Fenn, with Fenn Rogers Custom Homes, is a luxury home builder, contractor, and remodeler, specializing in new builds and full remodels. Adam Kostis is the Creative Director at Cosan Studio, a Scottsdale-based architectural firm, executing thoughtful, well-designed projects.
There are so many benefits of assembling your Dream Team at the beginning of your luxury new build project. We suggest selecting your members wisely, doing your homework & trusting your gut. Building a custom home is an exciting & extremely complex venture, and we encourage you to pick the team of professionals that you feel comfortable with, that you trust, and that you will enjoy working with throughout your project.
On a luxury custom home project, you have a builder, an architect, and a professional interior designer, and those three are your core team members. Throughout the entire project, you’ll add a landscape designer in there, you’ll add a cabinet company, and other vendors and your team will get bigger. But it is so important to hire those three critical professionals before you even have an idea on a napkin.
Brady, as a custom home builder, what would you say are some of the benefits of having all those professionals hired on the front end?
Brady Fenn: These three people are essentially who you can trust to build your dream home. If the project is starting to go down the wrong path or getting out of budget, these three people are going to tell you and assist in the process to get it back on track.
As builders, we want to be involved when you first start the plans, because we act as another advocate for the clients to stay on top of the architect and interior designer. We want to get it to the point where we can start building it as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality.
I think that that’s a big thing that we do as builders. Let us be your advocate to help guide this process. And sometimes we’ll be the bad guys, so that you, the client, don’t necessarily always have to be.
And obviously budget is a huge reason to get us involved early. We generally have a good idea of what things are going to cost, what the market is doing, which materials are delayed, and where we can possibly value engineer and bring up some good ideas of ways to save on cost without sacrificing quality.
Absolutely. Adam, in your experience as a professional architect, a lot of the time you get approached first. So how do you guide clients to get together that dream team at the start of a project?
Adam Kostis: I always like to think that ideas are whimsical. As architects, we’ve got whimsical ideas on paper. And clients, as well, have whimsical ideas for their dream homes. So that nature can spiral and get out of hand if you don’t have a structure within your team, and that team is the three of us. It includes that builder, that interior designer, and that architect. So, without those professionals, your ideas, as clients, are just whimsical.
Putting that pen to paper and making sure that everything is well thought out and methodical, that’s where things become more efficient. And we can start to get you exactly what you want in a faster timeframe working altogether. And time is money.
Another question we get is how can potential clients find that dream team. We know who the awesome builders, architects, and designers are in town because we’re in the field. What would you suggest for a homeowner? Where do they even start? How do they find a great architect, a great builder, and a great designer?
Adam Kostis: Instagram! Lol.
Brady Fenn: That’s a hard question, especially for us, because we don’t do the best job at marketing. We rely on word of mouth and reputation. Talking to someone who’s been through this process is important. And whoever you talk to and feel most comfortable with, within the three of us, whether it’s the architect, builder, or designer, we suggest really leaning on those professionals. There are lots of great builders and professionals out there, and there are different personalities and different fits.
And all have familiarity with the process too. As interior designers, you know how we build and who’s on our team. So you know what you can design and how we’re going to execute it. The same goes for the architect, we know how your process is. That familiarity helps the project flow more smoothly. And as you said, time is money.
It’s all about the Dream Team and getting those team players early in the process to ensure an efficient and beautiful project. Although we would love to say, “hire Alisha Taylor Interiors” – in reality, your dream team members must fit into your vision and expectations of the project, and vice versa. At Alisha Taylor Interiors, we don’t just design your custom luxury home details, but we focus on the client experience, bringing joy to building a custom home and alleviating stress.
The first step to starting your design process for your custom home is to select a Dream Team that will contribute to your beautiful, luxury custom home, and provide you with a professional, positive home-building journey.
How to Use Sherwin-Williams Color of the Year in Your Luxury Home
Sherwin-Williams introduced Redend Point SW 9081 as the 2023 Color of the Year! We’re excited for this soft and soulful neutral color to dominate the industry’s palettes this year. We found that this expressive color creates a sense of comfort, appreciation, and connection. Our design team has come up with multiple designs to show how we would use Redend Point in a luxury custom home design!

2 1 e1676589624538
3 1 e1676589610766
Kitchen Design
In Marti’s inspiration, she used the heartening color as a pop of warmth in a dark, moody kitchen design. The charcoal marble countertop & backsplash slab corresponds with the carbon perimeter cabinetry and grey stone flooring creating a deep monochromatic look. Adding the ‘Color of the Year’ to the large kitchen island and inside the open shelving creates lovely dimension. Because Redend Point is somewhat of an emotional hue, pairing it with such a dark concept with industrial elements creates an intriguing space.
Powder Bath Design
With Yliana’s inspiration, she embraced a light, organic design for this powder bath. The paneling concept covered in Redend Point combined with the chic fixtures & sophisticated wallpaper creates a perfect mixture of traditional & modern elements. The natural cabinetry finish and gold hardware offer lots of warmth and elegance. In this case, the ‘Color of the Year’ is welcoming and refreshed, providing a beautiful, inspiring powder bathroom design.
Girl’s Suite Design
Madi’s inspiration wanted to play with the pink undertones of the Redend Point hue and design a little girl’s suite. While using light elements such as natural wood flooring, white cabinetry, and a simple area rug, the ‘Color of the Year’ acts as an accent on the wall behind the bed. This color will also pull from the whimsical wallpaper near the window seat creating some additional drama in this space.
