PROJECT REVEAL: #Olive&Oak

kitchen design

A new build is more than just the square footage. It’s about creating a place that supports the way a family lives today while leaving room for the memories they’ll make tomorrow.

For our #OliveAndOak project, that vision started with a busy family of six who wanted a home that could keep up with everyday life while still feeling grounded & connected. In collaboration with Fenn Rogers Custom Homes and Grady Olsen Design, we set out to create a home where every space serves a purpose and feels grand without sacrificing warmth.

Built Around Connection

From the moment you enter #Olive&Oak, the home feels open and intentional. The architecture creates a strong sense of scale, while the natural materials we selected keep the spaces approachable and comfortable.

Throughout the home, light oak tones and natural stone work together to create a quiet backdrop. The exposed trusses draw your eye upward, adding character and structure. Every design decision was made with durability in mind. Nothing feels overly formal. Instead, each room invites you to settle in and stay awhile.

The Heart of the Home

At the center of the home, the kitchen features a generous island with a waterfall countertop anchoring the space, while warm wood cabinetry keeps the room feeling lived-in. One of our favorite details is the dramatic stone backsplash, whose organic movement introduces texture and visual interest without overwhelming the room. Paired with the most amazing oversized pendant light fixtures, the kitchen feels both elevated and effortless.

In the great room, large-scale seating created multiple opportunities for conversation while maintaining an open flow throughout the space. A limestone fireplace serves as a central focal point, framed by custom built-ins for balance. Expansive sliding doors blur the line between indoors and out, extending the living space.

Function Behind the Scenes

For a family of six, planned and thought-through functionality was just as important as looks. Throughout the home, custom storage solutions help support the rhythms of daily life. Every cabinet, built-in, and organizational feature was designed to make the home work harder without drawing attention to itself.

One of the most enjoyable spaces in the home is the custom bar area, tucked just off the main living spaces. Featuring warm oak cabinetry, a dark textured backsplash, and statement lighting, the space creates an intimate spot within the larger floor plan.

The most beautiful homes are measured by how they make people feel. For this family, #Olive&Oak was never about creating a showpiece, but by creating a place where this family could gather, grow, celebrate, recharge, and belong.
