Alisha is the magic behind Alisha Taylor Interiors. She has been running her design studio in Arizona for almost 20 years and has been recognized for her award-winning designs locally and nationally. With a B.A. in Interior Design and extensive CAD training, Alisha enjoys combining the technical aspect of construction with the creative side of interior design to create stunning homes that incorporate everything from tile designs to gorgeous furniture.
Alisha’s passion for design started when she was in the 6th grade and she ‘redesigned’ her classroom furniture plan on the back of a school assignment. She arrived at school the next day to find the classroom rearranged based on her design. A note was left on her desk from her teacher that read, “You should think about being an architect or designer someday.” She has been creating and redesigning spaces ever since. When not designing, you will find Alisha cheering on her kids in all their activities from baseball to dance, and then escaping with her husband to travel the country to architecturally rich destinations.
Marti Diehl, Junior Designer
The lead of our Design Team is our brilliant Junior Designer, Marti Diehl, whose technical skills are incredibly unmatched. Little did Alisha know how much her (work) life would change when she brought Marti on board in January of 2015. With a four-year design degree and three years of work experience in the field, Marti dove in at Alisha Taylor Interiors and has never looked back! Her sky-high attention to detail and honed technical skills provide a solid foundation for every project she is a part of, including mentoring new designers who have joined the team. Both the interior and exterior walls feature pockets of the elegant Harvest Mix Ashlar from Solstice Stone imparting a sense of natural beauty to the space. Inside the great room wet bar, we achieved an interplay of textures with dark wood-stained cabinetry and metal mesh backing on open shelves adding a touch of intrigue and sophistication.
Throughout the majority of the home, we combined the durable and sleek porcelain tile in the Crest Natural finish from Facings of America with the inviting European Oak wood flooring by D&M, integrating the interiors with the breathtaking 180-degree views of the surrounding landscape.
The kitchen took center stage, featuring a striking backsplash from Craftsman Court Ceramics called Artistic Tile in the shade, Cloud, perfectly complementing the space’s overall elegance. This remarkable kitchen was surrounded by two types of countertops, Cambria’s Winterbourne Quartz and Brittanicca Warm Quartz adding a touch of luxury to the culinary hub. Our objective was to transform this home into a warm and welcoming retreat, evoking the charm and coziness of a farmhouse while infusing it with eclectic elements for a touch of individuality. THE DESIGN DIRECTION
The design direction for our #DesertCharmRemodel project was inspired by a blend of farmhouse and eclectic styles. The goal was to create a show house with a cozy farmhouse feel, and seamlessly blend the interiors to the existing southwestern style of the exterior, as this is a remodel project. The design incorporated warm desert tones, with pops of green and eclectic furniture, artwork, and tiles to add a unique and vibrant touch.
FARMHOUSE & ECLECTIC MATERIALS
The specific materials and color palettes used throughout the project were carefully chosen to align with the desired design styles. Warm desert tones were utilized, including earthy browns and sandy beiges, to reflect the surrounding environment. These warm tones were complemented by pops of green, deep blues, and gray for a vibrant touch. We mixed in a variety of textures and patterns incorporated through the funky furniture, artwork, and tiles to add an eclectic vibe!

Our Junior Designer on the project expressed that she is, “particularly thrilled about the great room design, especially the highlighted wine refrigerator positioned adjacent to the fireplace”. This area showcases a harmonious fusion of millwork, stone, decorative tiles, and quartz, resulting in one of the most prominent focal points throughout the entire home.

The Somerset Community in Gilbert, Arizona is the location for another Alisha Taylor new luxury build project set to impress with its modern European design. Our #EuropeanHeights project draws inspiration from a mix of classic and contemporary elements to create a stunning masterpiece.
THE DESIGN DIRECTION
The project’s exterior features clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic, with a mix of traditional and contemporary materials. The exterior design has pockets of stunning natural limestone for that classic touch, and a sleek dark charcoal roofing some sophistication, while the large windows offer breathtaking natural light inside.
The interior of the building is designed to be equally impressive, with luxurious finishes. The entry steel & glass door will be grand and inviting, with light wood flooring, high ceilings, and a magnificent 7-tier crystal chandelier that immediately draws the eye. The spacious, neutral kitchen features custom cabinetry for ample storage and a quartz backsplash & waterfall island for the drama!
One of the standout features of this luxury new build project is the enchanting Common Room on the second floor. We transformed this space into an old-world-inspired chamber, pulling from the mix of classic and fantasy elements, with the aim of creating a unique and memorable experience for the family. The brick fireplace creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, while the deep navy cabinetry adds a touch of elegance and sophistication. The double groin vault ceiling detail is a stunning architectural feature that adds depth and character to the space, while the rich chocolate wood flooring adds warmth and texture.

The Camelback Mountain Views Is The Best Compliment to This Stunning Full Remodel
Meet our #CamelbackRemodel clients – a delightful couple who love entertaining guests. Having lived in their home for some time, they realized that they needed a full remodel to cater to their new lifestyle as a married couple. The original floor plan had many unusual angles and lacked an open-concept living area, so they decided to customize the design to fit their needs and elevate it to a modern style.
Combining Styles for a Complete Design
At our design firm, we specialize in creating personal styles and designing with intention. The couple had different ideas for their home – he loved high contrast black and white, while she preferred modern farmhouse style. We combined both their tastes to create a design that features contrasting countertops and painted cabinetry colors, limestone, and natural wood combinations, and ribbed cabinetry to capture the farmhouse feel. The design also includes brushed brass accents and matte black light fixtures to represent the high contrast effect.
Intentional Design Concept
The couple’s top priority was to have an open-concept space for entertaining. We designed a unique ‘Roaring 20s’ inspired bar in the main living space that opens up to the outdoor patio, providing a fantastic view of Camelback Mountain. This elegant and classy space will serve as the perfect backdrop for their future dinner parties.
This renovation project was all about making the home more personal and customized to our client’s needs. The final design is a beautiful blend of high contrast and modern farmhouse style that perfectly suits the couple’s love for entertaining guests.
